I ordered the Jerk chicken plate with collard greens and sweet potato casserole. Chicken was seasoned to the bone and the jerk sauce was phenomenal 😋. The collard were well seasoned and complimented the cornbread very nicely. The sweet potato casserole was excellent. The customer service was great and inviting, I will definitely return here again.

I’m about 7 1/2 months pregnant and was craving soul food on this Saturday. I googled some soul food spots and went straight to Hoover to try Jake’s everything was absolutely delicious and fulfilled my cravings. I got jerk chicken (wanted to try turkey wings but they were out) collard greens, cabbage , and Mac n cheese even the cornbread was delicious and I don’t eat cornbread like that. Very tasty and delicious I’ll be back i promise. My baby was turning around in my belly they like it as well !! Thank you 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
